Director of Marketing Communications

cleverbridge is looking for an experienced, skilled Internet marketing professional to build and lead our strategic marketing team. To be successful in this role, you must have proven leadership skills to manage, optimize and succeed in the North American market for B2B technology space.  We have already experienced substantial success based upon word-of-mouth and an experienced team of founders and are now looking for someone to help us move to the next level. The director of marketing will report to the VP of marketing.

Ideal candidates will have 7+ years of leadership experience in marketing and copy writing with a focus on B2B and technology. The director of marketing will partner with management and sales to develop, execute and measure the corporate marketing strategy for cleverbridge.  Candidates must have a proven track record building dynamic teams through inspirational leadership, teambuilding and driving accountability to results.

 Primary Responsibilities:

  •  Develop and cultivate an international corporate marketing strategy to build brand recognition and drive a consistent flow of qualified sales leads: Direct and coordinate global marketing plans and campaigns
  • Lead Marketing Organization: Planning, budgeting and day-to-day operational management of marketing, including but not limited to the following:
    • Corporate Web presence
    • Marketing materials
    • Tradeshows/conferences
    • Corporate events
    • Industry analyst relations
    • Social media
  • Corporate Web Presence and Marketing Materials:
    • Lead timely changes to the most public interface of the company
    • Responsibility for approving appropriate updates
    • Lead major annual update project from a design and content perspective
    • Measure and report to management on results
  • Tradeshows/Conferences:
    • Own the development and execution of major tradeshow attendance
    • Create event-specific marketing materials, presence plans
    • Measure and report to management on results
  • Corporate Events:
    • Lead the organization and communication for company events
    • Identify and procure speakers
    • Review and select event venues
    • Gather feedback from attendees and invitees
    • Measure and report to management on the effectiveness
  • Industry Analyst Relations:
    • Maintain working relationship with key industry analyst organizations
    • Lead organization of briefings, inquiries and monthly calls
  • Social Media:
    • Responsible for corporate social media strategy
    • Review and approve social media posts
    • Measure and report to management
  • Leadership:Grow and develop the organization, identify areas of weakness, develop a plan and execute to success.
  • Desired Skills & Experience

    Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of leading a B2B marketing organization
  • Proven content writing expertise for the B2B technology market
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing or similar
  • Ability to inspire and lead team of marketing and public relations professionals
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environment – remaining flexible to changing deadlines and situations
  • Ability to manage projects and programs in a cross-functional, geographically dispersed environment
  • Ability to develop and foster a culture of teamwork among direct and indirect reports
  • Ability to distill complex market positions into clear and comprehensible statements
  • Proven track record of success
  • Foreign language skills a plus
  • Position requires the ability to travel on occasion (up to 10% of the time)
